About Boy Scout Troop 214. . .

We are Boy Scout Troop 214, serving Hauppauge and Smithtown. Our Troop is very active…

We camp, we hike, we bike, and we raft. We also participate in high adventure treks, summer camp, community service, and lots of other fun activities. We do all of these things because that is what the scouts in our Troop have chosen to do. The scouts choose the activities, plan the activities and execute those plans, because we are a Scout run Troop.

Throughout the year, the scouts will have many opportunities to attend some very fun outings. We take bike rides, go hiking, camping, backpacking, and whitewater rafting to name a few. Trained adult leaders will be present on all Troop outings. We follow the two-deep leadership model as outlined by BSA. Parents are also welcome to attend the outings. It is a great way to spend some quality time with your child without all of the distractions of home, school, etc.
